What we do

AP pursues its vision through the following areas of work:

  • Research and analysis. AP conducts applied research and analysis of peace, conflict and security issues as a basis to promote informed dialogue and interventions.
  • Advocacy. AP advocates for the improvement of peacebuilding efforts in Italy, Europe and globally.
  • Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning. AP carries out monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) activities, focusing not only on peace and security, but also on participation and governance implemented in the context of international development agendas.
  • Support for peacebuilding actors. AP supports peace processes by engaging directly with key actors, both locally and internationally.
  • Capacity building. AP promotes capacity building activities for peace, security and development actors to help them further develop competencies on peace and conflict dynamics.
